Travel information

Please find here the key informations to help you organise your visit:
Conference location
  • Main events: Maison des Sciences Humaines, Belval Campus (Esch-sur-Alzette).
  • Social events (social dinner and city tour): Luxembourg City.
Transportation
All public transportation in Luxembourg is free, including trains. It takes 30mn of train + 10mn of walking to go from Luxembourg main station to the conference building (train station: Belval Université). Trains schedule.
Conference start
The conference starts on Monday March 23rd, with a welcome coffee from 9:30 to 10:30am.
Conference end
The conference ends at 5pm on Wednesday 25th and it is followed by a social event for those who stay: a guided tour of Luxembourg City (Luxembourg station, 18:05pm).
Social dinner
Tuesday 24th, Luxembourg City (Brasserie du Cercle, 19:30).
Recommended hotels
  • Ibis Esch Belval: walking distance, preferential price for Undone CS participants (€112/night single, €129/night double or twin, breakfast included). In order to book a room, there is a form to fill in and to return to the hotel by e-mail (or fax!), which you can obtain by writing to us at undonecs-2026@sciencesconf.org or by sending us a PM on mastodon at @undonecs@fediscience.org (or should have already received in an e-mail if you are an author or a PC member). We had ~50 rooms pre-booked until February 28th, but you can still request the preferential price using this form, which the hotel may grant depending on availability.
  • Youth hostel Esch/Alzette: from 40€/night, 3 min by train (free transportation).

More information is available in the leaflet “Good to know before travelling”.

Accessibility

  • The conference takes place in a recently-built venue respecting contemporary accessibility norms. The auditorium is on the ground floor of the building.
  • Trains and tramways in Luxembourg are accessible to mobility-impaired participants.
  • The restaurant for the social dinner is also accessible — an electric scooter might have trouble fitting but a wheelchair is fine.
  • The catering can accommodate various dietary restrictions (vegetarian, vegan, allergies…) — please fill in the relevant information in the registration form. We will ensure that e.g. vegetarian meals are clearly labeled.
  • We have booked a quiet room next to the auditorium in case you need a break from socializing or sensory stimulation.
  • The auditorium has a ventilation system but no windows. Lunches and coffee breaks take place near the entrance of the building, with air circulation from the doors. We plan to distribute face masks (FFP2) at the welcome desk.
  • For any special accessibility request, please check the corresponding option in the registration form and contact the organisers in advance.

Registration information

Registration closes
Registration for in-person attendance has to be completed on the day before the conference at the latest, but please register preferably before March 16th. Registration for online attendance can be completed anytime before or during the conference.
Online registration
If you want to attend online, please use the same registration form as for on-site participation, and select the "Online-only registration" option in the dropdown menu.
Registration fees
  • Early-bird rates until February 16th (+20€ afterwards).
  • Standard (with social dinner): 170€ (early bird 150€).
  • Light (without social dinner): 120€ (early bird 100€).
  • Free registration (with/without social dinner): 0€ — We aim for our conference to be inclusive of young researchers (e.g. graduate students, postdocs) and we also aim to favour a diversity of people and represented fields (e.g. philosophy of science, social sciences, law in addition to computer science). We do not want the registration fee to be an obstacle to participation, so please contact us in advance at undonecs-2026@sciencesconf.org to request a free registration if funding by your institution is an issue.
  • Online registration: 0€. Registration is mandatory (but free) if you want to follow the conference remotely.
Recording consent
We need your audio recording consent for streaming/broadcast (e.g. questions & discussions). If you are not a presenter, then you can opt out of audio recording, in this case just avoid speaking in a microphone. Additional consent is required for presenters. See the registration form for more information.
